"It's all about rights, not drugs"
Community Spirit: Over 700 people marched to Santa Cruz City Hall in behalf of Michael and Valerie Corral of Wo/Men's Alliance for Medical Marijuana (WAMM) on July 16, 2005. The mayor declared it "Medical Marijuana Day." Five city council members attended. Santa Cruz County Supervisor Mardi Wormhoudt urged the crowd not to give up despite the recently U.S. Supreme Court ruling. Congressman Sam Farr sent a letter of support. Members of FED-UP participated in the march and rally. And yes, those are marijuana plants lined up in front of the City Hall.
